Eight-tornese bronze coin

8-tornese coin A bronze eight-tornese piece of Ferdinand IV. The profile portrait reveals his prominent nose, for which he was celebrated during his lifetime. His nose made him readily identifiable from a great distance. He loved to mix with the common people -- the fisherman, the beggars, etc. -- and they loved him. This grossed out the Queen, but he never changed.
