September 16-18: Italian Country Fair & Market, UCO campus. Click the link to view photos from the fair.
September 23 - 26: La Serva Padrona & Bastien and Bastienne. Mitchell Hall Theater, 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23-25, 2 p.m. Sept. 26. Pergolesi's comic opera performed in Italian, and Mozart's first opera (written at age 12), performed in English.
September 28: The Etruscans: The "Other" Ancient Italians, Free evening lecture by Dr. Margaret Musgrove, Business building, UCO campus, room 121, 7:30-8:30 p.m.
October 4: Night of Italian Song, University of Central Oklahoma Jazz Lab, 100 East Fifth St. 7:30 p.m. Live performances, great food and wine, no cover charge!
October 6: Free Movie: The Bicycle Thief, 5 p.m. Pegasus Theatre. Awarded an honorary Academy Award in 1949, this classic is on almost every critic's list as one of the greatest films of all time. Recently re-released in a crisp new print, The Bicycle Thief is moving audiences all over again.
October 7: Math and the Mona Lisa: Bridging the Cultural Divide, Free evening lecture by Bulent Atalay, sponsored by the Oklahoma City Da Vinci Institute, 7:30 p.m. Pegasus Theatre.
October 7-10: Two Gentlemen of
Verona. Oct. 7, 8, 9, 7:30 p.m. & Oct. 10, 2 p.m. - Mitchell Hall Theater. The beloved classic comedy, with a modern twist. A couple of "criss-crossed lovers" together with bandits, silly servants, and a dog, travel from a hip modern Verona to a Medieval Milan. Is it time travel, merely a re-enactors' festival or the mesmerizing power of amore? Capice!

October 12: Let the Games Begin: Sporting Events in the Ancient Roman World, Free evening lecture by Dr. Stephen Law, Business building, UCO campus, room 121, 7:30-8:30 p.m.
October 13: Free Movie: La vita áe bella, Life is Beautiful, 6 p.m. Pegasus Theatre. Roberto Benigni's bittersweet comedy about a family's love in the midst of the Holocaust won the 1998 Academy Awards for Best Actor, Best Foreign Film and Best Dramatic Score.
November 10: Fibonacci: Significance and Controversy Today in Science and Mathematics, Free lunchtime lecture by Dr. David Boliver, Howell Hall Atrium, UCO campus, noon-1:00 p.m.
November: Fellini
Film Festival, Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., Pegasus Theatre.
